April 2026 keeps delivering. After the ID@Xbox showcase and Games Made in France, the Indie Live Expo airs today with over 200 games across a four-hour broadcast. It is the largest lineup in the event’s history.

The headliner? .45 Parabellum Bloodhound from Sukeban Games, the studio behind VA-11 Hall-A. More on that below.

When and Where to Watch

  • Date: April 25, 2026
  • Time: 9:00 AM UTC / 2:00 AM PT / 5:00 AM ET / 10:00 AM BST / 6:00 PM JST
  • Duration: Approximately 4 hours
  • Platforms: YouTube, Twitch, X, Niconico, Bilibili, TikTok
  • Hosts: J-mon and HighGai (English broadcast)

The show streams simultaneously in English, Japanese, Chinese, and Korean.

.45 Parabellum Bloodhound (Sukeban Games)

Developer: Sukeban Games | Genre: Lo-fi cyberpunk action RPG | Platforms: PC

This is the game everyone will be watching for. Sukeban Games made VA-11 Hall-A, one of the most beloved indie games of the last decade. Their follow-up is a completely different beast. .45 Parabellum Bloodhound is a 3D action RPG about Reila Mikazuchi, a former killing machine pulling herself out of depression and rebuilding her life the only way she knows how.

The combat uses an “Active Time Action” system inspired by Parasite Eve. You move and dodge in real time while an action bar fills, then freeze time to plan your attacks.

The game was confirmed content complete in February 2026, with a release date expected soon. This Indie Live Expo slot could be where they announce it.

Well Dweller (Kyle Thompson / Top Hat Studios)

Well Dweller key art

Developer: Kyle Thompson | Publisher: Top Hat Studios | Genre: Dark fairy-tale metroidvania | Platforms: PC, Switch

From the creator of Crypt Custodian and Islets. You play as Glimmer, a tiny bird armed with a matchstick, fighting through a wretched kingdom to burn the wicked queen and save your family. The art direction mixes fairy-tale charm with genuinely disturbing imagery. A demo launched on Steam two days ago. If you are into metroidvanias, keep this one on your radar.

The Full Lineup

The Indie Live Expo is built around two segments:

Featured presentations cover deeper looks at standout games with developer interviews and trailers. Beyond the two above, confirmed featured games include:

  • moorestech (sakastudios) is a five-year labor of love merging factory automation with an anime RPG. Think Factorio meets a JRPG.
  • No Mortal Space (Stellia Games) is a Chinese sci-fi sandbox action RPG.
  • The Second Reality Room: Unspoken Truths (Shadow Glove / FINE) is a reality-bending visual novel.
  • Magical Princess (Neotro / MAGI Inc.) is a child-rearing simulator based on a classic Japanese board game.
  • SHIKA-Q (AGNI-FLARE) is a PvP puzzle action game.
  • Pain Pain Go Away! (Lorebard) is a counseling-themed typing adventure.
  • Yunyun Syndrome!? Rhythm Psychosis (Alliance Arts / WHO YOU) is exactly as unhinged as the name suggests.

Indie Waves is the signature rapid-fire segment. 160 games in quick succession, sponsored by Cygames this year. This is where you discover the games nobody is talking about yet. Have your wishlist ready.

Why This One Matters

The Indie Live Expo started in 2020 and has crossed 100 million total views since then. It is one of the few showcases that genuinely represents the global indie scene, with games from Japan, China, Latin America, Europe, and North America on equal footing. The event received over 1,100 submissions this year, and they narrowed it down to 200+.

Between the Triple-i Initiative, the ID@Xbox showcase, Games Made in France, and now the Indie Live Expo, April 2026 has been the best month for indie game announcements in a very long time. Four major showcases in one month. My wishlist has never been longer.
