Games Made in France 2026: Knuckle Paradise Revealed, Plus 37 More French Indies
The ScourgeBringer devs just revealed a Hong Kong action-comedy brawler with a chicken sidekick. Here is everything happening at Games Made in France this weekend.
The sixth edition of Games Made in France runs April 24 to 26 on MisterMV’s Twitch channel. MisterMV is one of my favorite streamers, and if you have never caught one of his events, expect real takes, real love for the games, and just good vibes all around. We previewed eight standout games earlier this month. Now that day one is in the books, here is what happened, what is coming up, and what you should not miss.
The biggest news so far: Flying Oak Games, the studio behind ScourgeBringer, just revealed a brand new game.
The Reveal: Knuckle Paradise (Flying Oak Games / ARTE)
Developer: Flying Oak Games | Publisher: ARTE | Release: 2027 | Platforms: PC (Steam)
The biggest exclusive of the event dropped on day one. Knuckle Paradise is a pixel art character action game starring Jane, a retired boxer abducted and forced into an underground fighting tournament on an abandoned amusement park island. Her sidekick is a warrior chicken named Cocotte that you can launch at enemies to knock them down. Both characters gain new skills throughout the game, with combo-based combat inspired by classic Hong Kong action comedies.
Flying Oak Games proved with ScourgeBringer that they know how to make fast, precise combat feel incredible. The ARTE partnership adds credibility. This is the game I walked away from day one most excited about.
What Happened on Friday (Day 1)
The opening night kicked off with a masterclass from Asobo Studio on the making of the A Plague Tale saga. If you have ever wondered how a mid-sized French studio pulled off one of the most emotionally devastating franchises in recent memory, this session was worth the watch on its own.
After that, six games got dedicated presentation slots.
Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes (Alt Shift / Dotemu)

Release: Q2 2026 | The Crying Suns developers with the Battlestar Galactica license. You command a fleet escaping the annihilation of the Twelve Colonies, managing crises aboard your ships while preparing for encounters with the Cylon fleet. A demo is already available on Steam.
ENDLESS Legend 2 (Amplitude Studios / Hooded Horse)

Status: Early Access (Very Positive) | Amplitude regained its independence from Sega in 2024 and went straight back to what they do best: asymmetric faction design in a fantasy 4X setting. The showcase slot likely means a major update.
Tides of Tomorrow (DigixArt / THQ Nordic)

Released: April 22, 2026 | The makers of Road 96 are back with an “Online Story-Link” system where choices made by other players reshape the world for future ones. Set in a flooded world threatened by a disease called Plastemia.
The Witch’s Bakery (Sunny Lab / Silver Lining Interactive)

Release: Q2 2026 | This one is personal. I have been following The Witch’s Bakery on X for a while now, and the vibe looks absolutely amazing. You play as Lunne, a witch who just arrived in Paris to open a bakery that heals people’s hearts through enchanted pastries. It is a 2D adventure RPG with baking, shop management, and a story inspired by Kiki’s Delivery Service meets Persona 5.

Over 100,000 wishlists on Steam, a free demo that covers the first two hours, and it is coming to PC, PS5, Xbox, Switch, and Switch 2. I genuinely cannot wait to play the full game.
Also on Friday
Knightstones got a 35-minute deep dive, and Dissimilar closed the night.
What Is Happening Today (Saturday)
Today is the longest day of the event, running from 1:30 PM to nearly midnight CET. Here are the games I would not miss:
Wonderfall (Attaboy Interactive)
Release: 2026 | Paris, 1920. The city is collapsing into sand. You play as Leon, an orphan who can manipulate sand, exploring a reimagined French capital consumed by entropy. Over 2,000 lines of dialogue and sand-based traversal mechanics. Visually one of the most distinctive games at the showcase.
Fading Echo (New Tales)
Release: Q3 2026 | A fast-paced action RPG from Lyon where you battle across realities, transform into a living water ball, and mix water with lava and toxic waste for chain reactions. Won an award at PAX East and has a playable demo on Steam right now.
Starship Troopers: Ultimate Bug War (Dotemu)
The second Dotemu game at the showcase (alongside Absolum and BSG). Starship Troopers in Dotemu’s hands is exactly the kind of partnership that produces memorable action games.
Darwin’s Paradox
An action-adventure puzzle platformer about an octopus escaping an industrial complex. We reviewed it earlier this month.
The full Saturday schedule also includes Absolum (94% on Steam), The Merlies, Dive or Die: Children of Rain, Sovereign Tower, VYDER, Tavern’s Takedown Naheulbeuk, and more.
What to Watch Tomorrow (Sunday)
Sunday wraps the event and holds some of the biggest presentations:
Aphelion (Don’t Nod)
The highest-profile game at the showcase. Don’t Nod’s new action-adventure launches Monday on Xbox Game Pass, PS5, and Steam. Expect the stream to build hype just two days before release.
Flying Oak Games / ARTE Full Presentation
Knuckle Paradise was revealed ahead of schedule, but the 30-minute dedicated presentation tomorrow should include extended gameplay footage and more details about the combat system.
Tom the Postgirl (Oopsie Daisies / ARTE)

A hand-sketched narrative game about a nosy mail carrier who peeks inside every delivery she makes. Entirely drawn and animated frame by frame in a “spooky noir” art style. Published by ARTE.
Goblinz Studio Mystery Project
The schedule lists a Goblinz Studio project at 9:45 PM with no title attached. Goblinz is behind Legend of Keepers and Sandwalkers. A new roguelike seems likely, but nothing has leaked. This is the last real surprise of the event.
The Rest of Sunday
Also presenting: Hellslave 2, Terrinoth: Heroes of Descent, Sintopia, Astral Ascent (95% on Steam, likely teasing new DLC), Furyball: Rogue Revenge, Eona, Appulse, and Pirates: Rogue’s Fortune. A Women in Games panel and a student game competition round out the afternoon.
How to Watch
The entire event streams free on MisterMV’s Twitch channel. Presentations run from early afternoon through midnight CET each day. Nearly 70 additional streamers are presenting games remotely on their own channels.
The event wraps Sunday night. My two must-watch slots: the Knuckle Paradise deep dive at 6:20 PM CET (12:20 PM ET / 9:20 AM PT) and the Goblinz mystery reveal at 9:45 PM CET (3:45 PM ET / 12:45 PM PT). If that secret project is half as good as Legend of Keepers, we are in for a treat.
