The Steam Spring Sale 2026 is live. Discounts went up on March 19 at 10:00 AM PT and everything stays at the same price until March 26 at 10:00 AM PT. No flash deals, no rotating offers. You have a full week to browse.
Thousands of games are discounted, which makes it easy to get lost scrolling the store page. I went through the catalog and pulled out the indie deals that are actually worth your money. Some of these are at historic lows.
Indie Essentials Under $10
These are games that belong in every library. At these prices, you are paying less than a fast food meal for dozens of hours of gameplay.

- Hades at 75% off. Supergiant’s masterpiece blends roguelike combat with one of the best stories in gaming. If you enjoyed our best roguelikes of 2026 roundup, you already know this is a must own
- Celeste at 75% off. The precision platformer that made everyone cry. Tight controls, incredible soundtrack, and an assist mode that makes it accessible without dumbing it down
- Slay the Spire at 75% off. The original deckbuilding roguelike. If you have been playing Slay the Spire 2 and wondering where it all started, here is your answer
- Stardew Valley at 50% off ($7.50). ConcernedApe’s farming sim needs no introduction. One of the most content dense games ever made for under eight dollars
- Hollow Knight at 50% off ($7.50). The sprawling metroidvania that set a new standard for the genre. Over 40 hours of content for the price of a sandwich
- GRIS at 80% off. A watercolor platformer that plays like a painting come to life. Short but unforgettable
Deep Discounts: 85% Off and Above
The Spring Sale’s deep discount section is where the real steals hide. These games have been slashed to near giveaway prices.

- Spiritfarer: Farewell Edition at 85% off. A cozy management game about dying gracefully. Gorgeous hand drawn art and surprisingly emotional storytelling. One of the best indie games ever made, at a price that is almost insulting to its quality
- Hotline Miami at 80% off. The ultra violent top down shooter that spawned a genre. Still hits as hard as it did in 2012
- Grim Dawn at 90% off ($2.50). A meaty action RPG in the vein of Diablo II. If you are looking for build diversity and hundreds of hours of loot grinding, this is it
- Dying Light at 90% off ($2.50). Parkour meets zombies in an open world that is still worth exploring. The original remains better than its sequel in many ways
The Rare Discounts
Some games almost never go on sale. When they do, pay attention.

- Hollow Knight: Silksong at 20% off. Team Cherry’s long awaited sequel launched in September 2025 and rarely sees discounts. If you have been waiting for a price drop, this might be your best window for a while
- Rimworld at 23% off ($27). Ludeon Studios almost never discounts Rimworld. A 23% cut might not sound dramatic, but historical data on SteamDB shows this is among the deepest discounts the game has ever had. If you have ever wanted a colony sim that generates absurd stories, stop waiting
Dave the Diver and Other Recent Hits
Games from the last two years are finally getting meaningful discounts.

- Dave the Diver at 45% off. The fishing RPG that charmed everyone in 2023 is still getting updates and still worth every penny. Catch fish by day, run a sushi restaurant by night. It sounds bizarre and it works perfectly
- PEAK at 38% off. The co-op exploration game that took off on social media. If you have friends to play with, this is one of the most rewarding co-op experiences of the last year
- RV There Yet? at 20% off. A quirky co-op road trip adventure. Modest discount, but worth watching for future sales
- Megabonk at 30% off. A bullet hell that has been building a cult following. Flashy, frantic, and surprisingly deep
Publisher Sales Worth Browsing
Several publishers are running their own Spring Sale events alongside the main sale. These curated pages often surface deals you would not find scrolling the main store.
- Devolver Digital has deep cuts on their entire catalog. Think Inscryption, Cult of the Lamb, and Neon White
- Hooded Horse is the publisher behind Manor Lords, Xenonauts 2, and Old World. If you enjoy strategy and city building games, start here
- Konami has the Metal Gear and Castlevania catalogs on sale
- Bandai Namco has deals on the Dark Souls trilogy, Tales of Arise, and Elden Ring for fans who want to go beyond indie
How to Get the Most Out of the Sale
The sale ends March 26 at 10:00 AM PT. Here are a few tips before you spend.
- Check SteamDB price history before buying. If a game is at its all time low, grab it now. If it has been cheaper before, it will be again
- Browse publisher sale pages directly. The best deals are often buried in publisher hubs, not the main sale page
- Sort by review score. Steam lets you filter discounted games by user reviews. This is the fastest way to find hidden gems
- Prioritize bundles. If a game has DLC you want, the complete bundle is almost always cheaper than buying pieces separately
If you are gaming on a Steam Deck, most games in this list are verified or playable. Looking for free games instead? Our best free games for March 2026 roundup has you covered.
Happy shopping. Your wallet will not be.
