Steam Lunar New Year Sale: The Best Indie Deals Before It Ends February 26

Steam’s Lunar New Year Sale is still running, and you have until February 26 at 10:00 AM PT to grab deals. The sale celebrates the Year of the Horse with discounts of up to 95% across hundreds of games. Multiple publishers are running their own themed sales alongside the main event, which means some of the deepest indie discounts are easy to miss if you only browse the front page.

Here are the best indie deals still available before the sale ends in four days.

Klei Entertainment: Up to 75% Off

Klei’s catalog is stacked, and these are some of the best prices we have seen on their games.

• Don’t Starve at 75% off ($2.49). The survival classic that launched a genre. At this price, there is no reason not to own it
• Oxygen Not Included at 70% off ($7.49). One of the deepest colony simulators ever made, for the price of a coffee
• Mark of the Ninja: Remastered at 70% off ($5.99). Still one of the best 2D stealth games on any platform
• Hot Lava at 75% off ($4.99). A movement platformer where the floor is literally lava. Great fun in co-op

Team17: Up to 90% Off

Team17 publishes a wide roster of indie games, and their Lunar New Year Sale is one of the deepest publisher discounts running right now. Highlights include:

• Blasphemous at 75% off. The dark, brutal metroidvania set in a twisted religious world. If you liked the original and have not played the sequel, Blasphemous 2 is also discounted
• DREDGE on sale. The Lovecraftian fishing RPG that won multiple awards in 2023
• The Overcooked series, Moving Out, and The Escapists are all part of the sale for couch co-op fans

IndieArk: Up to 70% Off

IndieArk’s curated sale runs until February 24 at 10:00 AM PT and features some of the most talked about indie games of the last two years.

• Persona 3 Reload at 60% off. The definitive version of the beloved third entry
• Sonic X Shadow Generations at 60% off. A strong return to form for the franchise

The sale also includes a dedicated Year of the Horse special profile in the Steam Points Shop. If you have been saving your Steam Points, grab the seasonal cosmetics before they rotate out on February 26.

How to Find the Best Deals

The Lunar New Year Sale is not structured like a typical Steam global sale. Instead of one centralized storefront, multiple publishers are running their own themed sales at the same time. That means the best deals are spread across different sale pages.

A few tips for finding them:

• Check publisher sale pages directly. Klei, Team17, IndieArk, SEGA, Bethesda, and others each have dedicated sale hubs
• Use SteamDB or GG.deals to track historical lows. If a price is at an all time low, the deal is worth grabbing now rather than waiting for the next sale
• Sort by user reviews. Steam lets you filter sale results by review score, which is the fastest way to surface quality indie games you might have missed
