Why Slay the Spire 2 Is a Big Deal
The original Slay the Spire basically invented the roguelike deckbuilder genre. It sold millions of copies and inspired a wave of games from Balatro to Inscryption. The sequel had enormous expectations to live up to, and by all accounts it has cleared them.

Slay the Spire 2 ships with five playable characters (up from four in the original), hundreds of new cards, a revamped enchantment system, alternate acts, and a brand new 4 player co-op mode. Mega Crit rebuilt the game from scratch in Godot, and the early access build already contains more content than the original did at full release.

A Deal Worth Grabbing
At $24.99 on Steam, Slay the Spire 2 is already a fair price for what is there. At a discount on G2A, it becomes an easy pick for anyone who enjoys roguelikes or card games. Mega Crit plans to keep the game in early access for one to two years with regular content updates, so getting in early means you get to watch the game evolve.
