Nintendo Indie World March 2026: What to Expect, How to Watch, and Every Reveal
Nintendo streams its Indie World Showcase today with 15 minutes of indie game reveals for Switch 2 and Switch. Here is everything we know.
Nintendo is hosting an Indie World Showcase today, March 3, 2026, with roughly 15 minutes of indie game news for both Nintendo Switch 2 and the original Nintendo Switch. This is the first Indie World since Hollow Knight: Silksong’s Sea of Sorrow DLC was announced in December 2025, and expectations are high.
This article will be updated with every game revealed once the showcase airs.
How to Watch
- Time: 6:00 AM PT / 9:00 AM ET / 2:00 PM GMT / 3:00 PM CET
- Where: Nintendo’s YouTube channel and Nintendo’s Twitch channel
- Duration: Approximately 15 minutes
What We Expect
This is an Indie World Showcase, not a full Nintendo Direct. That means no first party Nintendo games. But for indie fans, these showcases consistently deliver some of the most exciting reveals of the year. Here are the games most likely to appear.
Hollow Knight: Silksong, Sea of Sorrow DLC
Team Cherry announced the Sea of Sorrow expansion in December 2025. It is a free DLC for all Silksong owners featuring new nautically themed areas, bosses, and tools. Silksong has sold over 7 million copies, and any new footage of the DLC would be the highlight of the showcase.
The DLC is confirmed for 2026 but has no specific release date yet. A concrete date reveal at Indie World would be massive.
Mina the Hollower
Yacht Club Games (the studio behind Shovel Knight) confirmed that Mina the Hollower launches in Spring 2026 on Switch 2, Switch, PS5, Xbox, and Steam. The game is a whip based action adventure inspired by classic Game Boy titles. A demo was available on PS5 during February’s Steam Next Fest window.
An exact release date could drop here. Yacht Club said they are waiting on console submissions before locking in a date.
Other Likely Appearances
- Witchbrook from Chucklefish. A wizarding school life sim that has been in development for years. A 2026 release date announcement has been rumored.
- Neverway from Coldblood Inc. and Outersloth. A puzzle adventure with a 2026 release window.
- Well Dweller from Outersloth. A quirky indie with a Q2 window that could receive a firm date.
Why This Showcase Matters
This is the first Indie World that covers both Switch and Switch 2 indie games. The Switch 2 launched with stronger specs, DLSS support, haptic feedback on the Joy-Con 2 controllers, and a new GameChat voice chat system. All of these features open new possibilities for indie developers.
However, there is an important caveat. In mid 2025, smaller studios reported that Nintendo was not providing Switch 2 development kits to indie teams, directing them to focus on original Switch releases first. Today’s showcase could signal whether that stance has shifted and how many indie studios are now building native Switch 2 versions of their games.
