2. Hollow Knight and Hollow Knight: Silksong
Two for one, and from the same studio. Team Cherry has only made these two games, and both are on sale, so we’re grouping them. If you somehow missed this pair, here’s your moment to fix that.
Silksong is the sequel people waited years for. You play Hornet this time, faster and more aggressive than the Knight, climbing through a brand new hand-drawn kingdom packed with bosses. It’s a recent release, so the discount is modest, but for one of the most anticipated indie games ever made, any cut at all is worth a look.
The original Hollow Knight is still one of the best metroidvanias ever built, a sprawling, melancholy crawl through the ruined kingdom of Hallownest with combat that rewards patience. At this price it’s close to free for the amount of game you get. Play it before Silksong, not after.

3. Slay the Spire
The deckbuilder that launched a thousand imitators. Mega Crit’s Slay the Spire is the foundational roguelike deckbuilder, the one every game in the genre still measures itself against, and it’s dirt cheap right now ahead of its sequel.

5. Dead Cells
Combat that feels like a fighting game wearing a roguevania’s clothes. Dead Cells, originally from Motion Twin and kept alive for years by Evil Empire, is a fast, brutal action platformer where death sends you back to the start with a little more knowledge each time.
Years of free updates mean there’s an enormous amount packed in here. The movement alone is worth the entry price.

6. Risk of Rain 2
The best couch-and-Discord co-op roguelike going. Risk of Rain 2, from Hopoo Games and published by Gearbox, drops up to four players onto hostile planets where the difficulty climbs relentlessly with the clock. You stack items until you’re a walking apocalypse, then the timer makes the enemies worse anyway.
It’s one of the best value-per-dollar games here at two thirds off. Grab three friends and lose a weekend.

7. Celeste
A precision platformer with one of gaming’s great stories tucked inside it. Celeste, from Extremely OK Games, is about climbing a mountain, and underneath the tight jumping it’s a genuinely moving story about anxiety and self-doubt.
The assist options mean it’s as hard or as forgiving as you want. At three quarters off, there’s no reason to keep skipping it.

8. Stardew Valley
The cozy game that set the standard. Stardew Valley, made almost entirely by one person, Eric Barone, is a farming life sim about inheriting a rundown farm and slowly building a life, with fishing, mining, friendships and a surprising amount to discover.
Years of free content updates later, it’s still the gold standard, and it eats hundreds of hours without trying. If you’ve somehow held out, 40% off is the nudge.

9. Spiritfarer
The biggest discount on this page, and a real gut punch. Spiritfarer, from Thunder Lotus Games, is a cozy management game about being the ferrymaster to the dead. You build a boat, care for spirits as passengers, and eventually say goodbye to each one.
It’s gorgeous, hand-animated, and far more emotional than the soft art style lets on. At 85% off it’s almost an impulse buy, and it’ll stay with you.

10. Dave the Diver
The genre blender nobody expected to love. Dave the Diver, from Mintrocket, has you spearfishing in a mysterious ocean by day and running a sushi restaurant by night, and the two halves feed each other in a loop that’s shockingly hard to put down.
It keeps throwing new systems and silly side stories at you long past the point most games run out of ideas. Half price is a great entry point.
